Case Study
Kate Burns (former head of google UK and newly Vice President and Managing Director of Bebo) asked us to create the branding for a stunning new Boutique Hotel.
We delivered an identity for the Hotel ‘Can Batista’ that both highlighted it’s beautiful surroundings and its architecture. We brought the designer Cristian Zuzunaga into the studio to collaborate with us on the typography for the final logo.
CAN BATISTA BOUTIQUE HOTEL

We went on location to research the environment, see the building, evaluate the competion and find out what makes this hotel a unique destination.
The proposed logo for the hotel was narrowed down to two options:
One was inspired by the Hotel’s architecture, characterized by it’s large arches which gave us the idea of playing with the ‘B’ for ‘Batista’, by turning the letter on its side.
The second option (which was eventually the chosen one) was based on the hotel environment and its view of the hills, which is one of the features that make it a unique location.

The colours used for the identity were taken from the surrounding green olive tree leaves and the blue Mediterranean sky.
